I'm so annoyed I've been moderating my blogs today and out of the 5, 4 were spammed by Paper Mill Direct with fake comments just link to their online website.

I've tweeted it and put on my facebook too not to purchase from this company as they use spamming tactics and I hope they do go under !

Rant over ! :)

Yes - I've just marked one of their spammy spam comments as SPAM on my blog too, another was already in the correct folder - i.e. spam - I am *not* impressed either!

I won't bother emailing them again as they didn't have the courtesy to bother responding to my polite email the last time they spammed my blog.

Not cool, Papermill - What a shame they can't be bothered to put their effort into legitimate social networking!

No wonder their bricks and mortar shops went under with tactics like these

They're probably employing a third party who's using black hat tactics. Mimi (that's her name) doesn't even have the decency to create a proper profile. Their IP address should be blacklisted IMHO.

Oh hell just started a blog - didn't know it could be spam attacked!

It's not an attack Suban, just people leaving comments but with a link in it. Which is ok when it's interesting or refers you to another legit blog. But instead it's link to their website so they earn keywords on google...they think !

Just moderate all the comments Suban it's the best practice for blogs now.

And here we go, yet again...

Papermill, I wish you would stop spamming - I'm sure google is taking note that all your comments are being marked as spam, so I doubt it is achieving anything positive for you!

Thanks for the warning - I get a few Spam comments on my blog, but have been quite lucky so far. I can understand how angry you must be with the amount of Spam a forum must receive especially as a majority seems to be from the same company. Maybe a spam campaign back at them through their e-mail. 'Do Not Spam CraftTelly.Com - From Another LOST Customer', sent by every forum member.

Just kidding but it would be so nice to get those spammers back.

Hey Janie, I never welcomed you to the forum so ...welcome.

I don't think they spam this forum but they do leave bogus comments on people's blog. They're not automated so they go through the captcha (which is useless anyway so that's why I moderate all my comments). What papermill does or whoever they're employing is to leave a bogus comment with a surreptitiously created link that is on a specific keyword. I don't mind people putting live links to their emails or blogs although we can find them following their blogger profile but when a company does it ....it's spam pure and simple.

I myself leave an unlive link (unlive means it's not clickable) about papermood when I write a comment telling the recipient that I'm going to feature their card on my website. I think leaving a website address unclickable is a respectful way of saying here's my address but I'm not taking advantage of your blog and comment area.

papermill could create a blog and feature nice cards from people then have some posts and competition but apparently they're too lazy and prefer black hat SEO tactics....what they don't get is since the newest google algorithms update called Panda a lot of the pagerank trust has been changed. So all that keyword link with live links on blogger blogs is a waste of time !
