Was at the show today It seemed a bit larger than the last few. Alot more beads and jewellery making stands and less scrapbooking I thought.
Had a quick chat a the sugar nellie stand and managed to get the birdcage stamp that I've wanted for a while Didn't get any of the new soft centres as I cant make my mind up which to get!
Didn't buy much else though I wanted c4 cello bags but couldnt find them Same with flock. Fancied a few bottles but couldn't find any. Nearly bought a bind it all but managed not to sucumb. apart from that all I bought was some jump rings (£1for 100, CaC please take note ) and some pinflair glaze
Enjoyed my day out

Glad you enjoyed your day out. I've just seen on another forum that there is a big Craft show on at the K2 in Crawley this weekend, so I'm hoping to go there. Will be the first 'big' show I've been to in ages. Not ususally that many in my area. Looking forward to it.

I only found out about this today and got all excited, but I'm not sure if I'm able to go. :( There always used to be a craft show at the Brighton Centre around this time of year, but there hasn't been for the last couple of years.

I use them to "dangle" things on cards I know that Nancy on CaC uses them quite often in her demos

I decided not to go to the SECC this year as last year's Autumn event was rather disappointing. The March event seems bigger. Plus there is a chance I might be able to make it to the NEC in November..... but as I also have 2 Graphcius workshops coming up I may not have any money for the NEC. However it's good to hear you thought the SECC was bigger this year, I get kinda fed up of Scotland always getting the short end of the stick with events like that.

In one of the craft trade mags recently there was an article about the number of craft fairs that there are these days and how the quality of them is declining with the increase in quantity.

That makes sense Anne, I would imagine traders just can't do all of them as the preparation and workload involved is huge. And on the other side - crafters can't afford to do the "big spending spree" if they are attending multiple events throughout the year instead of just one or 2. So we end up in an ever declining circle - less traders attending each event as they have to pick an choose which ones they do go to and crafters who are there probably won't be spending quite so freely as they used to when there were less opportunites from them to go to such fairs.
