Some pics of cards I made for my nephew and his wife. Joint birthday card and at last their wedding card.

Two absolutely fabulous cards LFJ, the camper van one is utterly brilliant, the detail on it is quite amazing, so much to look at & the same for the wedding one, which is quite stunningly beautiful!
Both wonderfully presented too in equally stunning boxes, must have taken you absolutely hours.......or days more like....! LOL :star:

Meant to say I used my new cuttlebug and the embossing folder that came with it. I did it in panels on pearly paper then suck on the card I had prepared using A3 card. also cuttlebugged some parchment panels. I embossed then turned the paper and embossed the rest of the length. So is really easy to emboss a longer piece.
Debbi moore decoupage delights cd. Flowers embossed onto parchment then cut out using one of the crafter's companion celebrations board. It's quite a tall card. I built it around the flourish peel offs! So the height had to accommodate them. Then I just resized the couple.
Found the campervan online and did it each section as I wanted. Both cards took ages but werll worth it as they loved them both.

Wow quick reply ladies.Many thanks!
Yes kitten did take quite some time. Been thinking about the wedding one for nearly 5 months lol. They got married 4 months ago. I just have to do a bit at a time.
The campervan was a delight to make. I copied the whole thing both several times, reversing the pic too. Then cut out each bit then stuck on the relevant card I used to get the look. Lined with bubble design paper. The bit that took longest was the blooming badge on the front. I did it from a martha stewart punch then cut the centre bit out. Couldn't get it cut in a perfect circle then found an outline circle peeloff and hey presto. Had been fiddling for ages drawing round 5p coins and all sorts. They love campervan stuff and Dan likes scuba diving so hence the marine theme.
A little tip for boxes, I always stick with collall photo glue, but also secure with a brad too as glue does tend to dry over time and then the edges come unstuck. I know this from boxes I have made and have in the house with cards in. Adds a bit more decoration to the box too.

They are absolutely beautiful. To use art deco for the wedding card is inspirational! The camper van is unique - and I'm sure they'll be delighted!

Thank you so much ladies.
I was going to do an art deco couple with the ladies in a gold dress to start with. But they weren't an actual couple so the proportions didn't look quite right. Then out came the next lot of cds with the lovely couples.

Suban.....I gave them the cards personally. They had been on honeymoon for a month and left the car in our drive as we live near Heathrow. It was lovely to give them like that as there wasn't the risk of postal damage . Especially with the wedding card as it was quite tall. They loved both of them.
Angela....the campervan was on something I found on the net ages ago. A page with various things on for men's cards. I simply copied the campervan and imported it int my serif scrapbook artist. I can email it to you if you would like it. It is just a basic line drawing so more of a template. But you can see how it makes a good result. Message me your email address and I'll send it to you.
