well my crafty friend and I set out for Shipley again yesterday to the Kanabn factory shop. We spent 3 1/2 hours stroking paper and filling a box .we had a fantastic time :) the fill a box is now £20 but it is huge and as it took nearly 2 hours to get there we had to have one each. They do 2 smaller ones but we didnt give them a second look lol
When we arrived we were welcomed with a Free coffee, everyone was lovely .It was one of the most wonderful ways to spend a day. we had a great laugh and met lots of crafters all foraging for goodies. at half way in the box we had a sit down and another free coffee then went back for round 2 lol.
the lady running the shop went to lunch and came back not a bit surprised to find us still there lol.
there was tons of the QVC christmas TSV kit with the pyramage and toppers . in the seconds shop part they had the decolarge at 5 for £1 so what could we say?. Also discovered a lot of the C&C designs.
I can recomend a trip if you manage to get anywhere near shipley/Bradford.

Kanban had the kits of a full sheet with envelope for £3.75. the ones I bought are seconds and not die cut but I like cutting out :)
they do a school or charity box with a £9 postage on top of the £20 box ,but you have to send a letterhead. Have to say I enjoy a good rummage though

So still the same price as in the shop, but the advantage of having it posted out, postage is a bit steep though isnt it

I suppose if you weigh it up against the cost of our petrol its not bad. it is a large box one that you would get 5 reams of photocopy paper in ,so it is heavy

I agree and at least they will post it so not too bad all in all, do they only post out to schools and charities?

I think so . It might be worth ringing and asking, they were so lovely maye if you said you lived too far away to come they might send a box for you.

Kanban have a website with a clearance section although there are only 2 items in it at the moment. They used to do £25 boxes with free P&P. Maybe they will start doing them again

On the JS forum there is a lady who has access to these boxes, if you put kanban in the search box of that forum you will see all the threads to it. I had one of them recently so I think you can still get them. Mind you, if you have them by post you have to have what the one who filled them likes. But even if you don't like some opf the goodies it is still a good buy.

I keep meaning to visit this place when we go up on my monthly visit to my sister and her family (we drive through Shipley in the way), but never get round to it (and I need more craft stuff like a hole in the head). If I ever do go, I could potentially pick up an extra box to export down South if someone who lived reasonably close to me (SW London/Surrey) was interested.
