You may have read that i have made a start on my Christmas, well today i find that the DST ( Double Sided Tape) is lifting from my cards quite badly, i had this problem with this months swap but thought it was because of the UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) its obvious now that wasnt the problem

so the question is this, has any of my matting and layering come unstuck on any cards i may have sent you? please i need you to be honest dont try to spare my feelings

Thanks for any help :)

Not had any probs with any cards sent to me by you or anyone else RW. Have you changed the brand you normally use? I've noticed the quality of tape can vary from different manufacturers

I've also noticed that heat can affect DST, if the room becomes very hot (like say, an exhibition hall, full of excited brides to be, which you learn the hard way on your first ever stand, lol!!!), then the tape can lift.

Can't see that I've had any problems with cards you have sent me in the past but as far as I can remember done have had the use of DST. But I have had this probelm this week in fact the the tape is not sticking at all, when I lift the top layer the tape is just comming away, at first I thought it was because I was sticking to glossy or glitter card but its doing it on plain matt card too,I have always got my DST from imag-e-nation.com and had no problems but I stocked up on loads from them the start of the year and have only just started on this new roll, tried another roll and thats just the same. maybe its just a bad batch. Or maybe as Dips has said its the atmosphere.

Thanks for your replies, its not a new roll of tape, and its happened on different types of card stock, perhaps its the cold rather than the heat that has affected it, it just doesnt seem to want to stick to the base card, although it is still sticky, never mind, i will just have to use my good old Art Institute glue and hope that fixes the problem :)

Just caught up with this and checked the cards you sent to me recently for the swap and for my birthday - all the layers and stuff seem to be staying stuck down perfectly. I didn't try to pry them loose tho so they could be stuck with a glue stick but as there is no hint of the card cockling I am guessing you used DST on them as glue sticks usually cause some cockling to the card.

Yep up untill now i have used dst on all my cards, dont really want to go down the glue route, but i couldnt possibly send cards that are going to end up looking like these
