Does anyone know if you can buy clear embossing pens, I got what I was told was one in town but its not clear its light blue:(I want it to just clear imboss some small details.I told this to the shop assistant who gave me this pen. I took it back to the shop and they said well its says clear maybe you have to let it dry . I said well I thought that maybe it would dry clear but it hasn't, she said well I can't refund you coz its been used:eek:I said but you can get a refund from where you got it from as it says clear and its not, she goes oh we don't buy from now:mad:Blimy I know it was only £2.99 but surly I have right seeing as I purchased something thats not what is says it is, couldn't be arsed to argue with them as I felt too ill.

Legally you are entitled to a refund as it's 'not fit for purpose' and 'not as advertised'.
Was this in Tindalls by any chance? I've noticed them go downhill a lot recently now they are stocking different items. They really pee'd me off when I took a full loyalty card in to use last month to be told that they'd got a new scheme and I could transfer my points. I picked up the leaflet and immediately said 'but my £15 will only be worth £7.50 IF I collect the maximum amount of points, can't I just use this as I didn't know you were changing things'. But oh no, as they'd been telling people for a month before they changed that it was happening and I'd missed the cut off point by a few days (even though I pointed out that I'd been in the shop during that period but not happened to buy anything and there were definitely no signs up) I've lost my treat that I'd been saving for once the school holidays were over.
Grr, sorry, rant over

think that would be one place I would not be buying from in future. If they treat all customers in that fashion, they are not going to last long

Yes it was that store, and I have one of those reward cards and nothing has been said to be about the change, its my only craft store that I can get to, so I do tend to pop in for bits that I want in a hurry, but I will not bother anymore fed up with the do craft offers not being at the store, they never seem to have any of the offers, last year I purchased several ink pads from them and they were all dry and they blamed me for storing them in the heat, managed to get a refund on one as they did open a stock one and that was dry but as they had got new stock in the rest they opened were ok so they would not exchange or refund them:mad:

I have a pen like yours LJ, it's pale blue and like you I was told it would work like the tinted embossing pads - ie the EP would cover the blueness but nope it doesn't it changes the tone of the EP powder. So I invested in one of the Versamark pens - the one you want is the one in the Black pen body - I am guessing your blue one is the same as mine - the pen body is white plastic - also mady my Tsukineko (who make Versamark) therefore easily mistaken for being the same as the Versamark pen but actually part of a range of coloured embossing pens they do.
