Hi Jube,

We have just got the new Cricut Experssion 2 and have been playing with it for the last couple of days. On the whole we are very pleased with it, the 12 x 12 cutting mat area is fantastic. Also you don't need the rubber keyboard overlays as it has a built in LCD touch screen, although we do think the screen could be a bit bigger.

The main new features are that it shows a mat preview on the screen. It includes 4 built in cartriges (the essentials one is really useful) and a cutting area light. We are still exploring some of the other features but having not had a Cricut machine before we found it very easy to use.

I hope this helps for now,
Chrissy.

Thankyou so much, I keep looking but only C&C sell it. I am wondering when they will start to filter through other suppliers then prices might come down. I have loads of 2ins strips where I have had to cut down A4 paper to fit on the mat so very excited to get mine. Have fun with it. Jube

I bought the E2. I already had the original E. It is easy to use once you get used to where the icons are. Only problem I had was when I was cutting design on several mats. I cut first mat then decided to edit something on a following page. When I went to cut the remaining pages it started at page 1 again. Hopefully there is a way of only cutting the page you want. I had to delete the image on page one so I could continue cutting my project.
I have a gypsy which I use all the time and probably won't use the E2 as an independant machine. But need to learn to use it as I persuaded the school I work in to buy one so I will have to teach the staff how to use it soon.
We are doing some fundraisers to enable us to buy new mats, blades and a few carts.
