    Thanks again ladies.

It was that bit that confused me too Roz and the brackets didn't seem to be in the right place. The loops confused me too, I've taken that to mean the stitch. Also to get the right number of stitches on the hook I had to put the yarn round the hook twice where it says yrh. lol

Still not sure if it's right but it looks more or less the same as the picture. So it'll have to do!!!!!

Hi Jan it's nearly finished, got about 10 more squares to do. I've sewn the bits together as I've done them (well 5 at a time) don't think I could have faced sewing them together in one go lol.

I hate sewing up too. When I did the hexagon Afghan I had to sew them up as I was going along or I would have got more confuzzled than I already was!!!

Always look on the bright side, if you can't find it then polish up the dull side.

I have just completed lesson 3 of my crochet course and the pattern is as clear as mud.

lol Roz it's funny isn't it. I love sewing but have always hated mending, altering and putting knitted or crocheted pieces together. Yet I loved dressmaking.

We are definitely a strange lot. Shirts requiring buttons to be replaced used to languish for weeks in my mending basket. Then I developed the "do it now, or else" technique. The trouble with that is that once acquired, if the "do it now" doesn't get done immediately, which happens if the thing is in the wash, then it is on my mind until it is done. :(
