Do you know which other craft companies?

The terrible two and Stephanie Weightman perhaps. However, we have given them as much stick as Kanban over the years.

What's wrong with "mom" ? Not being funny, I genuinely don't know what's wrong with it, since I use it regularly

I suppose it’s down to what your local words are and for me , as I hate Americanisms, mom is not a word I associate with English , so I have learnt something to know it is used in the Midlands.

It is an American word. Nor am I convinced that it is in common use in the Midlands. It certainly wasn't when I was there some twenty years ago, so there must have been an influx of American's since then. Nor do I like the word mam, and would never in a million years use the term on a card.

Mom is just the beginning, it will be color instead of colour next. Six pints to a gallon instead of eight, pounds instead of stones and pounds, followed by cups instead ounces. Single crochet instead of double crochet, gauge instead of tension, and bind off instead of cast off.

Mam is the the term used in Wales although others are coming more into use. I suppose that is bound to happen with people moving to new areas more than they did in the past.
In my circles if you use the term Mother you are considered well posh!

Kate has been known to use an even posher word - mater, and and for her dad, pater. I reckon she read far too much Jennings and Derbishire as a child! An eraser, or as it would never be called in America, a rubber, was always called a bungee. An Aussie friend of mine got into very hot water when he asked for a rubber in an American hotel. :)
