I have used 40 grade grit and am now using 60 grade. The floor has to be wiped with white spirit (poo) and then given two coats of varnish before it is sanded again and then another coat of varnish added - I never ever ever want to do this again.

I can imagine us firing up the woodburner for the first time and going up in the poof of smoke. Goodbye everyone......

Glad we went for lamanate flooring

I shouldn't laugh really, it was the "oh dear me" that did it. Hope your poor little finger is much better now.

Mine arrived yesterday apparently, though I wasn't in as we have been to York for a few days. Nice to come home and find it, my C & C magazine (which is a goody this time) and my Cross Stitch Guild magazine, though Jane Greenoff is very nawty. Sigh, she knows just how much I like Hardanger.

I was really pleased with the stamps as well - much bigger than I thought they would be so the sentiments will be very useful.

Me too, I thought they would only be teeny little things. Great sentiments too, haven't got most of them. :)

If anyone would like to see Toni Darroch (owner of Stamps by Me) demonstrating this free gift just go to YouTube. Type in 'Stamps by Me' and you should see a video which is labelled 'The Create and Craft Member gift'. Don't get too much time to craft these days but have a week off work coming up shortly so hope to spend some time card making as I need to seriously reduce my stacks of card and paper.

Does it really say "Wishes Birthday" rather than "Birthday Wishes"?

My membership lapsed quite a while ago. Not sure I'm going to rejoin just for this but it's quite tempting. What else might I be interested in?

Yep, you’re right. I hadn’t noticed that. I think I could just about snip the birthday off and get two useable stamps if I tried.

Yes it does, but I think it is because of how it is done. The Wishes is the dominant word, which makes it more interesting, especially as I already have loads of Happy Birthday stamps.
