Default Six Penny Memories return to C&C

Noticed this on the Home Page - didn't know that SPM were previously on this channel!

I wonder if Jamie Martin (Ex CEO Hochanda) is poaching specific companies to jump ship and join C&C (as we have the thread about Be Creative)?

PS Is it only Kim that is involved in the firm as haven't seen the other lady (is her name Debbie?) for a while?

Another company that I won't follow back to C&C.

I just can't watch C&C these days anyway - the studio is too bright and the presenters too loud.

BTW - on the subject of Be Creative, I discovered yesterday that they original announced that their new screen priniting system would be launched on Hochanda. I also read that they were upset when Hochanda withdrew support for the craft shows they run, and that C&C had stepped in to sponsor them.

I wonder which came first: Hochanda's withdrawal of support, or Be Creative jumping ship?

Must be honest I find all this jumping ship a bit of a laugh. As for the over lit studio, well to be honest I would rather have that than the gloom from Hochanda. It is the only channel that I need to alter, hence why I seldom watch.

As for Sixpenny Memories. Two things spring to mind here. One is the competition on Hochanda, especially now that even Hayley appears to have jumped on the bandwagon. I also notice it says they will be on C & C once a month, rather than a couple of times a week on Hochanda. Perhaps they reckoned that the effort of going all the way down the A1 several times a week wasn't worth the effort, especailly as they have their own shop. I think the last time I saw Kim was on the same day as Aly from Barnsley with her stitching, plus another lady whose name escapes me.

There is only so much money in the world, though going by some of the posts on various Facebook pages one wonders. But to have wall to wall sewing does not make economic sense. This is especially so in the case of Hochanda who appear to think of a price, then double it.

Various presenters on C and C have mentioned that there is going to be a 2 hour (?) sewing show on every Sunday, starting soon. I'm really looking forward to it. As I mentioned before hubby bought me the Butterick machine for Christmas and I have plans to make some 'stuff' to sell for the dogs.

I have plans to use my sewing machine this year, also to make stuff for the doggies, as well as the kitties, and any other furry or feathered beasts that the charity looks after. I say I 'have plans', never quite sure if said plans will actually happen. The trouble with sewing machines is that they take up far more room than a ball of knitting yarn/needles/hooks. However, I also want to stitch some of my birthday prezzies this year, as in all of them for the group. I have ideas for next C********, which mostly involve knitting. ;)

I could do with a larger bag to keep my larger knitted projects in, bought one to make up at Harrogate, with kitties on, so perhaps I ought to get on with it. Well it was cheap enough, and is precut, so it shouldn't be rocket science to make it. One can never have too many storage bags for needlecrafts I reckon. ;)
