Hochanda have a new supplier launching with them on 17th March ! Adaku Parker from Dovetailed London will be with them at 4pm to showcase her range of African Wax Print Fabrics.
Adaku will be familiar to many of you within the crafting community after she was one of the Handmade Gift Finalists on Channel 4's Kirstie Allsopp's Handmade Christmas. She appeared on episode 7 of the programme at the end of 2019 and was seen making one of her African wax print bags.
The phrase 'wax print' refers to the printing process whereby the wax resist method of printing onto fabric (similar to batik) and is used to create intricate designs, but the fabric itself does not actually have wax on it.
The stunning Dovetailed London fabrics will be at Hochanda next week along with sewing patterns specifically designed with these fabrics in mind.
