Sew Me Something Special

Sew Me Something launches on Hochanda at 4pm on Thursday 26 March. This is a very special launch show with Jules Fallon as they have everything for the discerning dressmaker. If you want to learn more about dress making then tune in for the range of patterns and fabrics.

They specialise in stocking carefully curated textiles and haberdashery that work and complement their dressmaking patterns. All are created with an eye on fashion, but with a stylish, classic design that looks and feels modern and fresh. The designs and patterns have been developed from listening to customer’s thoughts and applying improvements to traditional sewing patterns.

All about Jules

Jules Fallon, industry professional designer, pattern cutter and lecturer, set up Sew Me Something her haberdashery store and studio where she started running workshops back in 2012. The first batch of dressmaking pattern were created 18 months later and new patterns have been added year after year. There are now over 24 patterns to choose from, four of which will be showcased on Hochanda. Jules will show you how to create your own handmade wardrobe sewing and fitting the clothes you really want to wear learning new techniques and processes as you sew.

The Helena Dress Sewing Pattern

A relaxed take on a traditional smock dress that’s a truly versatile dress to wear on its own or layered over T-shirts.

The Kate Dress Sewing Pattern

Its simple shape, with no zips or buttons, allows you to makes up in a whole range of fabrics from denim and needlecord through to linen and cotton lawn.

The Miranda Dress Sewing Pattern

The Miranda dress makes up in a whole range of fabrics from denim and needlecord giving a more structured formal look, through to viscose rayon and cotton lawn for a more summery and floaty feel.

The Ursula Dress Sewing Pattern

Another fantastic pattern that makes up in a whole range of fabrics. From denim and needlecord turning it into the perfect pinafore dress for layering over T-shirts, through to linen and cotton lawn for a sleeveless summer dress.
